VAN BUREN COUNTY OPENS NEW SHOOTING SPORTS PARK

Van Buren County has opened a new regional shooting sports park. Dead Zero Shooting Park, located on Highway 111 in Spencer, held its grand opening on Nov. 18. The park is said to be a high-quality shooting attraction featuring a variety of shooting ranges. The facility will soon open a 1000-yard electronic target range. The park also has a clubhouse, pro shop, classroom and lounge. Cumberland County broke ground last September for a similar facility to be located off Albert Frye Road. The $2.2 million project is being funded by the TWRA and will feature much of the same attractions for sports, youth and law enforcement training.
