VAPE AND FINGERPRINTS LEFT BEHIND AT CRITTER CROSSING BURGLARY
On Saturday around 11 p.m., Deputies Aidyn Smith, Ethan Wilson, and Holden Atkinson were dispatched to Critter Crossing Road regarding a burglary. Upon arrival, they made contact with the homeowner and a neighbor who said the homeowner’s garage was burglarized. A black and yellow Dewalt impact drill without a battery and a Dewalt reciprocating saw were stolen from the garage.
They told deputies the window was the most likely method of entry because all of the doors were locked. The homeowner also said the last time she remembered seeing her missing tools was, on the 29th at around 1 p.m.
The two believe that a man they knew had stolen the tools because he helped the neighbor work on the property about a month ago, and he would have seen the tools in the garage.
A Red Raz vape was left on the property near the garage, and Investigator Human collected 4 fingerprints from the window of entry. The fingerprints will be sent to the TBI Lab for analysis, and the vape will be sent for DNA analysis.
