A vehicle accident caused a power pole in the Emory Heights area to break last night. In order to safely replace the pole, Harriman Utility District de-energized the line feeding Emory Heights, Swan Pond, and surrounding areas around 10:30 p.m. The outage lasted for two hours. An accident report was not available as of early this morning by authorities.
