VEHICLES VANDALIZED WHILE OCCUPANTS WERE HIKING AT CUMBERLAND MTN. STATE PARK

Crossville police went to a residence on Cabin Drive Saturday for a theft report. They learned the owner stopped his vehicle in a parking lot at Cumberland Mountain State Park and went on a short hike for 20 minutes. He returned to discover a passenger window busted and a purse was taken. Officers discovered a second automobile in the same lot had a window smashed and items were taken. No suspects were named. Law enforcement reminds citizens to not leave anything of value in plain sight inside a vehicle while its unoccupied.
