VICTIM FINDS STOLEN VAN THEN GETS IT STOLEN AGAIN

The victim of an auto theft in Crossville found his vehicle then had it stolen for a second time. Police say that a 2007 gray Nissan Quest was stolen from a Will Wyatt Rd. residence Monday. The owner of the vehicle reported to officers that he found the van later that day parked at a gasoline pump at the Eco Travel Plaza on Genesis Rd. He said that he confronted a male subject whom he suspected of taking the vehicle but he ran from the scene with the ignition keys. The victim had to leave the vehicle parked at the business and when he returned the next morning to get it, it was gone. Employees at the business said that the vehicle had not been towed, but soon after, Crossville Detective Donnie Hammond located the van which had been abandoned at the First United Methodist Church on Braun St. with the keys under the driver seat. Police are seeking a suspect in connection to the theft.
