Virgil Caldwell, age 90, of Crossville, passed away May 24, 2021. He was born March 19, 1931, the son of Claude and Mary Sparks Caldwell. He was retired as a supervisor and attended Creston Baptist Church. He was a fine Christian man who loved his family and the Lord. He is survived by his wife: Bessie Gross Caldwell of Crossville; sons: Bobby Ray Caldwell (Terri) of South Carolina, Shelby Caldwell of South Carolina, Virgil Caldwell Jr. (Debbie) of Savannah, Tennessee, and James Lester Caldwell (Kim) of Crossville; daughters: Wanda Sue Feltner of Crossville and Vera Marie Hendon of South Carolina; daughter-in-law: Sheila Caldwell of Crossville; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Tray, Kimberly, Tammy Rae, Shelby Rae, Charity, Kristin, Steven, Brian, Timothy, Randy, Kurt, Erica, Joann, Stacy, Will, Michael, Patrick, David and Winter Rose; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Robert Caldwell; and grandson: James Anthony Feltner. Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 1 p.m. central at Hood Funeral Home in Crossville. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. central at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Obituary by Hood Funeral Home.
