The City of Vonore in Monroe County is mourning the loss of its police chief. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook, asking for prayers for the family of Vonore Police Chief Randy Kirkland, who died peacefully yesterday (Friday, December 29, 2017). The post said words cannot describe how much Kirkland will be missed or how much he has contributed to the community.
