WAFFLE HOUSE SHOOTER MAY NOT FACE TRIAL AFTER MENTAL EVALUATION

The man accused of shooting and killing four people at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee may not stand trial after a mental evaluation.

According to WSMV, Travis Reinking may be “mentally incompetent” according to the evaluation.

Reinking faces multiple charges including four counts of criminal homicide after four people were killed in the April 22 shooting at the Waffle House on Murfreesboro Pike.

Reinking was arrested the following day.

A Davidson County judge ordered a mental evaluation for Reinking during an earlier court appearance.

A motion is expected to be filed that would request a competency hearing on August 22.
