WANTED MAN ARRESTED AFTER ATTEMPTING TO PURCHASE FIREARM AT ROCKWOOD PAWN SHOP
A 24-year-old man with active warrants was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after attempting to buy a firearm at a Rockwood pawn shop.
According to the Rockwood Police Department, officers were dispatched to the business on North Gateway Avenue at approximately 4:15 p.m. following a tip from a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent. The agent reported that the wanted individual, identified as Bobby David Luddy, was inside the store.
Sergeant Jacob Cofer and another responding officer made contact with Luddy and placed him under arrest without incident. He was subsequently transported to the Roane County Jail.
A records check confirmed that Luddy is being held on a $30,000 bond for an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant out of Roane County.
