WARRANT SERVICE TURNS PHYSICAL

Crossville Police had their hands full serving arrests warrants Tuesday at a home on School Street. Officers, who were serving three arrest warrants on 54-year-old Edward Owen Randall, were met in the front yard by Scotty Berry who told them that Randall was at another residence up the street. According to the report, one officer noticed Randall in the home through the blinds on the door. After a significant time, police forced entry into the home where Randall reportedly began yelling and became physically combative. Randall was finally taken to the floor during a struggle and taken into custody. Berry was also taken into custody for obstruction of a legal writ. Randall was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
