WARRANTS SERVED AND DRUGS CONFISCATED DURING POLICE STOP
Crossville Police were called to the Family Dollar Store last week for the report of shoplifters. According to reports, when officers arrived they discovered the suspects had left the area in a red Chevy S-10 with a motorcycle in the bed. While in the area, it was learned that a Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper had the vehicle in question stopped on Taylor’s Chapel Road. There were four occupants inside the vehicle. The driver, 45-year-old Paula Leigh Cornell, was discovered to have outstanding warrants, along with a male passenger, 34-year-old Jeremy Lawrence Flury. A search of Cornell discovered a clear bag containing 3.5 grams of methamphetamine and various prescription pills. Several syringes were also found in a back pack. Cornell was served the warrants and additionally charged with manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance. Flury was also served warrants while the two other occupants were allowed to leave.
