What was the most dangerous road to travel on in Cumberland County as far as fatality crashes in 2019?
According to data released to 105.7 News today from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, it is a five way tie for first.
Two fatality crashes each happened on Interstate 40 (one of these accidents resulted in two deaths), Lantana Road, Dunbar Road, Genesis Road and Highway 70 East.
One fatality crash was reported on the following roads in 2019: Highway 68, North Main Street, Lakeview Drive, Flynn’s Cove Road, Highway 127 North, Miller Bypass, Cox Valley Road and Sparta Highway.
Cumberland County recorded 19 fatalities from vehicle accidents in 2019.
The data did not indicate the causes of these crashes or what played a factor in the deadly accidents.
