WHITE COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL; NO EVIDENCE OF POTENTIAL THREAT
Update from the official Facebook page of White County Schools:
“11:57am
Today, WCMS received an anonymous report of a weapon on campus and an investigation found there to be no evidence. All safety protocols are released, and the school day will continue. Law enforcement will remain on campus, and we thank them for their assistance.
11:35am
WCMS students are safe and released from the hold to continue classes. Law enforcement’s investigation found no credible threat, but they will remain on campus. For now, no one will be allowed in or out of the building; we will update when that is lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.
11:05am
Out of an abundance of caution, WCMS is continuing to hold students in classrooms while law enforcement and administration investigate an anonymous report. We will update you as more information becomes available.
10:33am
WCMS is currently holding in place in classrooms as the White Co. Sheriff’s Dept. helps administration investigate a potential threat submitted anonymously through our STOPit safety app. Students are safe in classrooms, and we will continue to update you regularly.
