WINTER STORM WARNING

MIDDLE TENNESSEE
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 PM CST this evening to 6 AM CST Tuesday for all of Middle Tennessee – including Cumberland, Pickett, and Fentress counties – in the 3B Media News coverage area. Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches with locally higher amounts of around 6 inches possible. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
EAST TENNESSEE
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 1 AM EST / 12 AM CST Monday to 7 AM EST / 6 AM CST Tuesday for portions of East Tennessee – including Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount, Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Rhea, and Roane counties – in the 3B Media News coverage area. Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Locally higher amounts possible. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
