WINTER STORM WATCH
MIDDLE TENNESSEE
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday evening through Tuesday morning for all of Middle Tennessee – including Cumberland, Pickett, and Fentress counties – in the 3B Media News coverage area. Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of around 3 up to 4.5 inches possible. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as 5 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
EAST TENNESSEE
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon for portions of East Tennessee – including Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount, Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Rhea, and Roane counties – in the 3B Media News coverage area. Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches possible. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Very cold air will be moving into the region with wind chills in the teens and single digits across much of the area. The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
