Thieves are stealing nearly anything they think can be of value. Cumberland County deputies responded to the 333 mile marker of Interstate 40 recently where 180 foot of wiring was cut from pole near the road leading up a message box over the interstate. The act caused the message sign to be disabled. No suspects were named in the report.
