A Crossville woman was taken into custody recently (December 23, 2017) after allegedly stealing packages. Police went to a residence on Old Lantana Road to question 30-year-old Carrie Nicole Rector about several items taken from a residence on the same street. Officers reportedly saw unwrapped clothes and children’s toys next to a Christmas tree in Rector’s home as well as receipts with the victim’s name and address from where some of the items were ordered online. Video surveillance of the victims residence reportedly captured Rector entering and leaving the home where the packages were stolen. All of the items taken was valued at over $1,100. Rector was charged with theft of property and transported to the Cumberland County jail.
