WOMAN ATTACKED WITH BASEBALL BAT IN HOME INVASION

The Harriman Police Department is investigating a home invasion that took place around 2 a.m. this morning (Saturday, October 28, 2017). The incident took place at the 100th block of McNew Drive in the West Hills subdivision of Harriman. Officers say 60-year-old Karen Reeves was home with her granddaughter, 22-year-old Krystina Reeves, when multiple unknown suspects dressed in all black and wearing masks forced their way into the residence. The intruders held the two women at gunpoint for a period of time demanding money and taking property inside the home. The intruders rummaged through the victim’s property demanding they open locked items before stealing several weapons and a 2010 light blue Toyota Avalon from the residence. Karen Reeves was transported to the hospital for treatment of a possible broken arm and other injuries sustained during the robbery when she was hit several times with a baseball bat. Krystina Reeves was physically uninjured in the incident. The identity of the suspects is unknown at this time. If you have any information that can lead authorities to the identity of the intruders, call Sgt. Kent Warren with the Harriman Police Department at (865) 882-3383 or call 911.
