WOMAN CLAIMING TO BE GOTTI’S STEPDAUGHTER ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION

Early Saturday morning, a Cumberland County deputy with a quirky sense of humor was called to the lobby of the justice center for an unruly woman. When he arrived, 41-year-old Misty Dawn Hancock of Crossville appeared to be under the influence of some sort of intoxicant. She had entered the commissioner’s office, demanding he write warrants on other people and behaving aggressively and being generally uncooperative.

According to the arrest report, when told to leave, she refused and began making threatening comments. After again being advised to leave, she went out into the lobby and refused to leave.

According to the deputy, when he told her she had to calm down or face arrest, she told him her step-dad was John Gotti “and that he wasn’t happy with me.”

The arrest report states the deputy responded by telling Hancock her supposed stepdad “was fixing to be really mad because if she didn’t leave I would arrest her.”

For her safety and that of the general public, Hancock was arrested for public intoxication.

Oh, and Gotti would have to be really mad from beyond the grave. He died June 10, 2002.
