WOMAN IGNITES HOUSE ON FIRE TO RID SATANIC DEMONS

Crossville officers responded to the area of Welch Street on Friday in reference to a structure fire. Upon arrival, authorities observed a trash can on fire on the carport. When going to the back of the residence, the south side was engulfed in flames. City Fire was on the scene and quickly began to extinguish the fire.

No persons were found inside the residence. When trying to make contact with the resident, authorities found her sitting in the neighboring driveway. 30-year-old Emery Hill stated she started the fire “to rid satanic demons”.

According to to the police report, Ms. Hill alleged to officers that she had been using narcotics including methamphetamine. She was charged with arson of the residence due to other parties having a proprietary value in the residence she set on fire.
