WOMAN SPITS ON CROSSVILLE OFFICER AFTER THEY EXPLAIN SHE CAN NOT MISUSE 911

Crossville city officers were dispatched to a residence off Rose Street Wednesday afternoon when a female called 911 twice to ask why she was not invisible like everyone else.

When arriving at the residence, officers made contact with a female identified as 28-year-old Marlene Rios. She told the officers it was not illegal to call and ask a question and claimed the officers were there illegally. She then pointed to one of the two officers and alleged that one of them had touched his crotch area. When explaining to the woman that he had only put his hand on his belt buckle, she became irate stating that she was going to call more officers over to arrest them because they weren’t allowed to be there. Officers noted they tried several times to explain to Marlene that she cannot misuse 911.

Officers were then able to get ahold of the woman in charge of the lease at the residence. When speaking with her, she alleged that she can not get Marlene to leave. Marlene would step in between the officer and the woman stating officers aren’t allowed to talk to “her girlfriend”. Officers had to physically move Marlene over to be able to talk with the woman. According to the report, officers told Marlene to go back inside.

Marlene became belligerent and got louder and started cussing. After screaming towards neighbors and bystanders, one of the officers went to put her under arrest, when she spit on him.

Officers were also informed that Marlene was banned from the residence on 11/16/22.

Marlene Rios was charged with criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, and assault on a first responder. An officer explained the warrants when serving her them.
