MALE CRASHES TRUCK INTO BRICK FENCE AND LEAVES SCENE

Cumberland County deputies were dispatched to Brewer Road on Tuesday for reports of a male laying on the road with a bunch of items scattered all around. The male was then reported running at passing vehicles and yelling.

When the deputy got on the scene, he was notified the male subject had crashed a 2004 Ford Ranger before getting into another vehicle and leaving the scene. The truck had been traveling westbound on Brewer Street and left the roadway on the left and struck a brick fence and pine tree. The truck came to a final rest in a woman’s yard. Approximately 15 feet of the brick fence was destroyed and scattered in the yard.

When checking the truck’s registration, it came back as expired in 2019 and did not have valid insurance. Upon investigation and previous encounters with the Ford Ranger, deputies went to an address of one of the two males last reported with the truck. After arriving, deputies spoke with Travis Sadula who reported to of had fresh scratches on his head. 31-year-old Travis allegedly admitted that he was the one driving the truck when the accident occurred. He claimed he didn’t report the accident because he was scared and didn’t know what to do. That’s when a friend drove by and he left the scene in their vehicle. Travis’s license has also been revoked.

Deputies arrested Travis Sadula and he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a revoked license, failure to report an accident, and vandalism.  He was also cited for driving an unregistered vehicle and for financial responsibility.
