A Cumberland County deputy was in the area of Airport Road last Tuesday when he observed the driver of an Acura failing to maintain their lane. When the deputy tried to conduct a traffic stop just before the Rockwood Airport, the vehicle traveled several more minutes at a slower speed into Morgan County before finally stopping.

Since the driver did not stop, the deputy conducted a high-risk stop where she was asked to get out of the vehicle and was immediately detained.

The deputy identified the driver as 35-year-old Crystal Clancy. Dispatch revealed the female had a revoked license from a DUI. When speaking with Ms. Clancy, she claimed she was not doing anything shady, and that she was only trying to deliver food for a food delivery company.

After searching the vehicle, 1.08 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and approximately 1.0 grams of what is believed to be Heroin were found in the driver’s door. A metal container was also found containing 2 credit cards, a checkbook, and two driver’s licenses belonging to a male. A title to a 2007 Honda Civic, a title to a 2004 BMW, and a key belonging to a separate male was found as well.

Ms. Clancy was transported to intake without incident. The jail staff asked her if she had taken anything because she told them she did not know where she was.

She was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Evading, and Driving on a Revoked License. Her bond was set at $35,500.

She also has a hold as she has a warrant out of Wilson County (VOP) and Roane County (Theft).
