WOMAN USES FAKE BAR CODES TO TRY TO STEAL OVER $400 AT KROGER

On Monday, June 20, officers responded to a call from Kroger in Crossville for theft. Jessica Patenaude, age 39, had allegedly put fake bar codes on items. When the manager noticed, she checked other items in Patenaude’s cart and found pre-cut bar codes taped to multiple items. The items totaled $427.55.

Officers then found more fake bar codes in the driver’s seat of her vehicle. She was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center for Criminal Stimulation and Theft of Merchandise.
