Bids will be accepted soon from road contractors with regard to improving the intersection of Highway 70 and Pine Ridge Road in the Midtown area of Roane County. Officials say the project completion is on or before December 15, 2018. The intersection has been the site of many accidents as traffic flow increased in recent years. Other road projects expected to be bid out soon include the repair of the bridge on Highway 27 over the Caney Creek in Harriman.
