A portion of southbound I-75 in McMinn County has been closed due to an accident. Authorities and emergency personnel are on the scene of the crash which occurred Sunday night. The roadway is closed in the vicinity of mile marker 49 in Athens at the present time. Officers report that there are injuries. 1057 News will have more on the story as it is released.
