WRIGHT CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED BURGLARY IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

TBI RELEASES STATEMENT ON OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING IN BRADLEY COUNTY

A Fentress County individual is facing charges in Cumberland County after reportedly trying to break into a home last night on the 3300 block of Highway 70 North. The report indicates 31-year-old Dustin Shane Wright of Allardt attempted to gain entry to a back door of a residence. A woman inside called 911 and Wright fled the scene. He was later located face down in a wooded area off of Wilbanks Road. He was ordered to show his hands repeatedly which Wright did not comply. He was eventually arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.
