ZIMMERMAN CHARGED WITH DUI AND POSSESSION OF A FIREARM WHILE INTOXICATED

A police officer in Crossville pulled over a vehicle just after 2 a.m. Saturday after a citizens complaint that the driver may have been under the influence. Police stopped 19-year-old Tyler Andrew Zimmerman who apparently failed a sobriety test. Officers say three others, including a 15-year-old girl, were also in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a firearm, ammunition, a set of digital scales with marijuana residue on it and a pair of brass knuckles. Zimmerman was charged with underage DUI and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
