278TH HELPING POLAND CHILDREN IN ORPHANAGE HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS

Battle Group Poland, consisting of a majority of soldiers from the Tennessee National Guard 278th, has adopted an orphanage near their current post for Christmas. Each troop has committed to providing gifts for specific children based off the child’s Christmas wish list. Help from the public would be greatly appreciated in supplying supplemental gifts. Ages of the children range from 6 to 19, with a majority in the teen years. The wish list of these 62 children is heartbreaking, especially as the age of the child increases. Older children wish for necessities such as clothing. One child wrote, “I will be grateful for any gift I receive.” Donations can be dropped off at the Tennessee National Guard Armory in Crossville at the corner of Sparta Highway and Highway 70 North.
