6,589 CASES OF COVID-19 IN TENNESSEE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY AT 56 TOTAL, ROANE NOW AT 8 TOTAL – APRIL 17, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 6,589 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 17, 2020), 142 died, 711 are hospitalized and 3,017 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

BLOUNT – 46 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 41 recovered =  5 remaining active cases, 3 fatalities, 602 tested

CLAY – 5 total case (same as yesterday) of which 1 recovered =  4 remaining active cases, 141 tested

CUMBERLAND – 56 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of which 23 recovered = 33 remaining active cases, 885 tested

FENTRESS – 4 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 1 recovered = 3 remaining active cases, 136 tested

KNOX – 194 total cases of which 133 recovered = 61 remaining active cases, 4 fatalities, 2,877 tested

LOUDON – 21 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) of which 17 recovered =  4 remaining active cases, 297 tested

MCMINN – 6 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 4 recovered = 2 remaining active cases, 426 tested

MEIGS – 3 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 2 recovered = 1 remaining active case, 84 tested

MONROE – 10 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of which 6 recovered = 4 remaining active cases, 1 fatality, 245 tested

MORGAN – 5 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 5 recovered = 0 remaining active cases, 113 tested

OVERTON – 7 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 3 recovered = 4 remaining active cases, 383 tested

PICKETT – 0 cases (has not seen a case since outbreak started), 44 tested

PUTNAM – 94 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of which 38 recovered = 56 remaining active cases, 2 fatalities, 934 tested

RHEA – 1 current case, 245 tested

ROANE – 8 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of which 7 recovered = 1 remaining active case, 405 tested
