7-YEAR-OLD FOUND RUNNING ALONG BUSY CROSSVILLE ROADWAY

A Crossville woman was served an outstanding warrant after her 7-year-old son was found wandering in the road. Police answered the report of the boy running barefooted down the middle of Genesis Road Friday. Upon interviewing the boy, officers learned that he had allegedly been in a fight with his mother, 34-year-old Brandi Ann Pedigo, at their home on Village Lane. The boy said that Pedigo told him to leave, but later, according to the report, when Pedigo returned to the home after searching for the boy, she stated he told her he was leaving. After police served the active warrant on Pedigo, her brother was summoned to take custody of her children. The case was referred to the Dept. of Children’s Services for further investigation. This is the second time in two weeks a child has been observed in the roadway alone in that area of the city.
