85-YEAR-OLD BICYCLIST KILLED IN OAK RIDGE ACCIDENT SUNDAY

Oak Ridge Police are investigating the scene of an accident Sunday which killed an 85-year-old bicyclist. Officers were called to the scene Sunday at 1:50 PM at Highway 58 and Blair Rd. where an SUV struck the older man traveling on a bicycle. The 74-year-old female who was driving the SUV was uninjured. The victim’s family has requested his name not be revealed. Anderson County EMS personnel arrived on the scene along with Roane County Deputies and Clinton Police. District Attorney General Russell Johnson’s Office is also assisting in the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
