911 CALL RESULTS IN DRUG ARREST IN CROSSVILLE
Early yesterday morning, Crossville police were summoned to room 234 of the Executive Inn on U.S. Highway 127 North for a call about two suspects with a weapon outside the room. Finding nobody outside, either with or without weaponry, four responding officers knocked at the door to room 234. There they found 40-year-old Brad Dewayne Adams of Cleveland, Tennessee. Adams claimed the two people outside were after him.
One of the officers noticed a pipe on the night stand with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana. Adams admitted it was pot, and consented to a search of his person and the hotel room. In addition to the pipe, officers found 18 grams of marijuana and four Xanax tablets.
Adams was also found to have an outstanding warrant in Bradley County.
He was taken into custody for possession of a Schedule VI drug (marijuana), possession of a Schedule IV drug (Xanax), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and the outstanding warrant.
