SUSPECT CHARGED WITH EVADING ARREST AND CARRYING LOADED PISTOL

Roane County Deputies confiscated a firearm during an arrest Thursday at the Pilot Gas Station on Lawnville Road in Kingston. According to the report, a 1976 Chevy pickup that was involved with a warrants check on a subject known as Alex Marshall, was observed at the Pilot. Marshall was found inside the store with a female subject, Shasheena Demeree. When questioned by officers, Marshall appeared to avoid questions as he moved toward the exit. Marshall was able to flee officers through the parking lot, run into a wooded area and jump a barbed wire fence into a field. Marshall refused commands to stop and was finally stopped and handcuffed after being threatened with a taser. After returning to the store, Marshall was identified as Jeremiah Jason Marshall. A loaded Taurus 9 mm handgun was found in the truck. Marshall had an active failure to appear warrant out of Roane County and had an attachment for child support. He was also charged with evading an officer and violating bond conditions. Demaree was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
