A man was killed while cutting a tree near Grandview Mountain yesterday afternoon. The Rhea County Sheriff’s Office says it happened on private property on Dixie Lee Highway. Thurston E. Keathley died when the tree fell on him. Keathley is from Oliver Springs and was in his early 70’s. No further information was released by the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department.
