A Crossville man charged with allegedly robbing an elderly couple appeared in Cumberland County Criminal Court Friday. William Jefferson Boggs, age 53, faces felony aggravated robbery stemming from the incident on T. O. Smith Road earlier this year. Court documents state Boggs entered the residence wearing a “Scream” mask and pointed a handgun at the couple. The victims were tied up while Boggs allegedly took pills, firearms and over $3,000 in cash. Boggs was arraigned in court Friday and is scheduled to return to court on November 13, 2019.
