Court officials say a former solid waste director in Cumberland County is scheduled to stand trial December 15, 2020. Mike Harvel faces charges of sexual battery, assault and official misconduct. He allegedly caused physical contact to a female resulting in the assault. The sexual battery stems from two alleged incidents involving a female. The official misconduct comes from a reported incident between June 2016 and February of 2018. At his arraignment two years ago, Harvel entered a plea of not guilty.
