CROSSVILLE’S JULIE ANN EMERY TO STAR IN ‘FIVE DAYS AT MEMORIAL’

Crossville’s own Julie Ann Emery is set to star with Vera Farmiga, Adepero Oduye and Cornelius Smith Jr. in ‘Five Days at Memorial’, an Apple TV+’s limited series.

Based on the acclaimed nonfiction book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sheri Fink, ‘Five Days at Memorial’ tells the story of the first five days in a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina made landfall. Fatigued caregivers were forced to make life-and-death decisions after the power failed and floodwaters and temperatures rised that haunted them for years after.

Emery will play Diane Robichaux, an assistant administrator for LifeCare, who finds herself involved in the events.

It is currently unknown when ‘Five Days at Memorial’ will premiere on Apple TV+.

Known for her role as Betsey Kettleman on AMC’s ‘Better Call Saul’, Emery also played the series-regular role of Lara Featherstone on AMC’s ‘Preacher’. She also had roles in Hulu’s ‘Catch-22’, Amazon’s ‘Bosch’ and FX’s ‘Fargo’.

Emery was born and raised in Crossville. She graduated from Cumberland County High School in 1990 then studied acting at the Webster Conservatory at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
