THOMAS AND SHANK ARRESTED FOR METH POSSESSION IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Two individuals are facing drug charges in different arrests in Cumberland County.
Deputies went to a home Friday on the 100 block of Deep Water Road to serve a warrant on 39-year-old Michael Keith Thomas of Crossville. While he was being processed in the jail, officers reportedly found .73 grams of meth in a small plastic bag in his shirt pocket. Thomas was charged with the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth and introducing contraband into a penal institution.
The second arrest took place at a home on Yellow Cliff Creek Road. A disturbance resulted in officers talking to 50-year-old Gennie Marie Shank of Crossville. Officers not only learned she was on state probation but reportedly noticed a white powdery substance around her nostril. When asked about the substance, Shank reportedly told deputies she could not go back to jail. She allegedly stated there may be meth in her vehicle.
Shank was taken into custody for the manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of meth and simple possession of drugs.
