CUMBERLAND MAN GETS THREATENING PHONE CALLS AND PHOTOS

On March 25, 2025, Deputy Joshua Matthews of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office met with a man in the Justice Center lobby regarding threatening phone calls. The man reported receiving calls and texts from an unidentified individual using three numbers.
The caller claimed the man owed $3,000 and threatened to kill him if he didn’t pay, boasting of having killed before. When challenged to prove it, the caller sent multiple photos of deceased individuals.
The man blocked the numbers to stop further contact and chose to document the incident with Deputy Matthews in case the situation escalated. This occurred in Cumberland County, Tennessee.
