REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER GETS ARRESTED AT POLICE LOBBY

Yesterday, Officer Haylee Osmun responded to a report at the Crossville Police Department lobby from Chase Harrison and a female. The couple claimed they rented a boom lift in Memphis, brought it to Crossville, and left it at an abandoned car wash, only to find it missing when they returned that morning. They couldn’t provide proof of the rental or specific details, and Detectives K. Harthun and K. Wilson are investigating the alleged theft.

During the interaction, a background check revealed Harrison is a registered sex offender. He arrived at the station in a white Dodge Ram 2500, a rental truck leased to him on March 20, 2025, per the rental agreement. However, the vehicle wasn’t listed among his approved vehicles on the Sex Offender Registry, as confirmed by his parole officer.

FLOCK data showed the truck had been driven across Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama in recent days. Chase was arrested for the violation, and transported to Cumberland County Jail by Sptl. Grant and Officer Osmun obtained a warrant from the commissioner’s office. Copies of the rental agreement were attached to the report for scanning.
