Starting October 1, 2025, 3B Media News will welcome local meteorologist Mark Baldwin to its team, bringing his extensive expertise and passion for weather forecasting to the organization.

Baldwin, a 2007 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in meteorology, has built a strong reputation through his Meteorologist Mark website and app.

“I started the Meteorologist Mark website and app several years ago,” he said. “The website launched in 2017, and it’s been growing steadily ever since. I’m excited to share that work with everyone here. I graduated with my meteorology degree from Western Kentucky University in 2007. It was a dream come true to pursue that path and see it realized.”

Beyond his professional achievements in weather forecasting, Baldwin also serves as the development director for Creative Compassion, a housing non-profit based in Crossville, where he has dedicated several years to community service.

Creative Compassion, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Crossville, Tennessee, dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions in the Upper Cumberland region. It builds energy-efficient homes, offers home repair funding, and provides mortgage assistance for low- and moderate-income families.

Operating primarily in Cumberland County, it expanded to surrounding counties in 2015. Partnering with local churches, businesses, and the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, the organization promotes homeownership and stability, guided by Christian principles of compassion.

At 3B Media News, Baldwin will focus on delivering daily weather forecasts, but his primary enthusiasm lies in providing live updates during severe weather events to ensure public safety.

“What I’m most excited about is going live during severe weather to keep folks updated on what’s coming and how to stay safe,” he said. “I’m looking forward to this opportunity and hope it’s another way to help keep people safe during the storms that come our way.”
