A couple of missing teenager incidents occurred recently in the Rockwood area.

On Saturday morning, a reported 12-year-old girl went missing near Lower Rockwood Road on Rockwood Mountain. Local rescue squad, Rockwood police, and sheriff’s deputies conducted a search, and she was found unharmed after about four hours and returned safely to her home.

Earlier on Monday morning, April 13, Rockwood Police Chief Kelly Pitman reported that another female teenager had gone missing from her home in the Rockwood area. Sheriff’s deputies assisted with a drone search starting around 5 a.m., and she was located and confirmed safe after a couple of hours. She was apparently riding on an ATV with another individual.

No additional details were provided about either incident.
