ALLEGEDLY DRUNK DRIVER FLIPS SUV AFTER CRASHING INTO PARKED CAR IN KINGSTON
On April 21, 2026, at approximately 7:04 PM, a two-vehicle crash occurred on Lakewood Road in a residential area of Kingston, Tennessee. The incident involved a 2014 white Nissan Murano driven by 57-year-old Robert Patton and a parked 2025 black Subaru Forester. According to the Kingston Police Department report, Patton, who was traveling eastbound, failed to keep his vehicle in the proper lane and struck the parked Subaru.
The impact caused the Nissan Murano to overturn and flip onto its roof, while the Subaru sustained front-end damage. Patton suffered a possible injury and was transported by EMS to Roane Medical Center. He was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, as confirmed by a blood test.
Patton was later arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI).
No other injuries were reported, and the crash occurred in clear, dry conditions with daylight still present. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage.
