TENNESSEE TECH WAIVES $35 GRADUATE APPLICATION FEE FOR ALL OF MAY
Tennessee Tech University’s College of Graduate Studies is waiving the $35 application fee for new domestic applicants throughout the month of May (May 1–31). This initiative aims to make postgraduate education more accessible and encourage prospective students to take the first step toward earning a graduate degree.
The university offers more than 60 master’s and doctoral programs, available both online and in person. To help students complete their degrees faster and at a lower cost, Tennessee Tech provides flexible options such as the Master of Professional Studies (MPS) program with seven-week courses, and the Fast Track program, which allows qualified undergraduates to begin earning graduate credits early. Additionally, recent changes by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission now permit eligible students to apply a fifth year of the HOPE Lottery Scholarship toward graduate studies, further reducing expenses for many Tennesseans.
New graduate programs launching this fall include master’s degrees in child life, agriscience technology, and industrial and systems engineering, as well as a Ph.D. in integrative biology. A Master of Social Work program is scheduled to begin the following year.
The application deadline for fall 2026 admission is August 1. Students interested in applying during the fee-waiver period or learning more about the programs can visit www.tntech.edu/graduatestudies.
