SEMI-TRUCK DRIVER FACES AGGRAVATED ASSAULT CHARGES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT TODAY
Jay Michael Boyd faces multiple charges today in Cumberland County General Sessions Court for an incident occurring on May 18, 2024.
That day, Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Lyle Blodgett responded to a motor vehicle crash on the interstate, assisted by Trooper Nathan Thomas and Criminal Investigator Al Seitner.
The driver, J. Michael Boyd, is accused of intentionally swerving his semi-truck into another vehicle, causing the driver and passenger of the struck vehicle to fear imminent bodily injury or harm.
He is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Immediate Notice of Accident.
