MAN FACES MULTIPLE DRUG, ASSAULT, AND IMPERSONATION CHARGES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT
Chandler Reece Houston is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County General Sessions Court on Thursday, May 28, 2026, represented by attorney Joseph Wyatt, on six pending drug-related and other charges.
Three older cases filed in September 2024 stem from a September 6, 2024 incident in which Houston was found in possession of a stolen vehicle containing approximately 7.49 grams of methamphetamine, 0.95 grams of cocaine, and 0.95 grams of heroin/fentanyl, along with numerous plastic baggies used for resale. These charges include methamphetamine manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession with intent; Schedule I drug offenses; and a specific cocaine charge.
Three newer cases relate to events in March and May 2026.
On May 18, 2026, during a traffic stop on a Hyundai at Critter Creek Rd. and Coppett Rd., Houston allegedly gave a false name (“Bo Pugh”), leading to a criminal impersonation charge. Officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and located a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine in foil near Houston, plus a Hi Standard Sentinel .22lr revolver, resulting in a simple possession of methamphetamine charge.
Separately, a March 28, 2026 domestic assault charge arose from a physical dispute at 2781 Pigeon Ridge Rd., where the victim sustained a laceration to his left ear from a punch.
All cases are set for court on May 28, 2026.
