CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN FACES HEARINGS NEXT WEEK ON CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE, EXPLOITATION CHARGES
A Cumberland County man is scheduled to appear in Criminal Court next week to face multiple severe charges involving the sexual abuse and exploitation of a child.
According to official court dockets and grand jury indictments, Larry Norman Flake II is slated for a motion and petition hearing on July 7, 2026, in the Cumberland County Circuit Court.
The Charges and Indictments
Flake is currently facing prosecution across two separate criminal cases stemming from grand jury true bills returned in 2023 and 2024.

Case 1 (June 2023 Indictment): Flake was indicted on charges of Aggravated Sexual Battery and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.

The indictment alleges that on or about April 28, 2023, Flake engaged in unlawful sexual contact with a juvenile victim, identified in court documents by the initials C.H., who was under the age of 13.

Furthermore, the grand jury charged Flake with continuous abuse, alleging three or more incidents of sexual abuse against the same child spanning a period from November 14, 2020, through April 28, 2023.

Bond for this case has been set at $150,000.

Case 2 (April 2024 Indictment): Flake faces an additional charge of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (More than 100 Images), which is classified as a Class B felony.

The indictment states that on or about May 3, 2023, Flake knowingly possessed material depicting a minor engaged in sexual activity, with the volume of individual images or materials exceeding 100.

Bond for this case has been set at $250,000.

Legal Proceedings
The investigation into Flake was spearheaded by Prosecutor Tyrel Lorenz of the Crossville Police Department, who served as the primary state witness before the grand jury. The indictments were presented under District Attorney General Bryant C. Dunaway.
Flake, who is being represented by a public defender, remains under a combined total bond of $400,000 pending his upcoming July 7 court appearance.
