CUMBERLAND COUNTY MAN FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES INCLUDING AGGRAVATED BURGLARY AND THEFT

A Cumberland County man is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court this week to face a string of felony charges, including aggravated burglary and theft of property.

According to official court dockets, Wesley Alexander Green is slated for a court appearance on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The charges stem from multiple offenses filed against him earlier this year following investigations by local law enforcement.

According to an affidavit of complaint filed by Investigator Gary Green of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, the most severe charges originate from an incident on or about July 7, 2025.

The warrant states that Wesley Green unlawfully entered a habitation located at Jim Garrett Road. Once inside, Green allegedly stole property valued at between $2,500 and $10,000 without the owner’s permission.

Following the investigation, Investigator Green formally swore out warrants against the defendant in early February 2026. As a result, Wesley Green is facing:

  • One count of Aggravated Burglary (Habitation), a felony that mandates a buccal (DNA) swab test upon arrest.

  • Two separate counts of Theft of Property ($2,500 to < $10,000).

In addition to the burglary and theft counts, Green is also facing a wildlife-related charge. A separate filing from January 16, 2026, by Officer Cody Moore, charges Green with the illegal use of Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) under Tennessee state law.

Court Information: All four cases are grouped together for the July 9th criminal court docket in Cumberland County General Sessions Court. Green’s appearance will determine the next steps in the legal process, which may include a preliminary hearing or a plea entry.
