CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING AND QUARTERLY WORK SESSION ON AUGUST 18

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. — The City of Crossville has officially called a busy morning of municipal business for Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Mayor R.J. Crawford, members of the City Council, City Manager Valerie Hale, and City Clerk Baylee Rhea are scheduled to convene at City Hall, located at 392 North Main Street, for both a Special Meeting and a Quarterly Work Session.

The morning will kick off with the Special Meeting at 7:30 AM in Conference Room 317. Key agenda items requiring discussion and potential action include:

  • Water Treatment Plant Contract: Consideration of a contract with H2O Innovations for a 7.0 MGD Membrane Filtration System at the Meadow Park Lake Water Treatment Plant (Item 26-0319).

  • Water Rates: Action regarding a resolution for the upcoming fiscal year’s water rates (Item 26-0327).

  • Board Appointments: A scheduled appointment to the Crossville Regional Planning Commission (Item 26-0331).

  • Budget Amendments: The first reading of an ordinance to amend the fiscal year budget concerning grants and water sales (Item 26-0328).

Immediately following the special session, the council will move to the 4th floor for their Quarterly Work Session at 8:00 AM. This session will focus on broader municipal planning, featuring discussions regarding public hearings (Item 26-0329) and a strategic planning session with the Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) (Item 26-0330).

Both meetings will begin with a call to order, roll call, and an opportunity for public comment.
